The management and letting rights for Synergy Broadbeach are owned and operated exclusively by PCJ MR Pty Ltd a company that is wholly owned by successful Gold Coast businessmen Frank Picone, Paul Picone, Jason Picone and Craig Picone. In addition to owning the management and letting rights to Qube Broadbeach, the Picone Family also own the rights to two other resorts; Synergy Broadbeach and Boardwalk Burleigh Beach located on the stunning ocean front at Burleigh Heads.

Frank Picone is, arguably, the most successful independent owner and operator of Management Letting Rights businesses on the Gold Coast. Bringing nearly 40 years’ experience to the table, Frank has the luxury of knowledge of the requirements demanded by holiday makers and corporate guests and applies his vast experience to ensure these are constantly met. Applying this knowledge to the strategy of providing that personal touch that only a family business can provide, has been a key ingredient in maintaining our resorts amongst the most popular and successful on the Gold Coast for decades.

The Phoenician Resort Apartments and Wave Resort (Broadbeach), Gemini Court (Burleigh Heads), Ocean Plaza Resort (Coolangatta) and The Towers of Chevron Renaissance (Surfers Paradise) are prime examples of resorts, under the management of Frank Picone, that have flourished and provided a memorable experience for guests.

Previously, Frank was often the sole owner of the businesses he managed, but in recent years, he has joined forces with his three sons, Paul, Jason and Craig (under the banner of PCJ MR Pty Ltd).

Paul Picone has extensive knowledge in all facets of the management letting rights industry having actively worked in the operational areas of his father’s businesses since the 80’s before partnering with Frank in key projects such as opening the high profile Diamond Beach Resort (Broadbeach, Gold Coast); without doubt the most successful management letting rights resort of the 90’s. Paul Picone’s role as General Manager of Diamond Beach Resort saw him build up this business to the level that it was seen as a key target acquisition for the then “BreakFree Resorts” (now the Mantra Group) who purchased the resort from Paul and Frank Picone.

Other resorts Paul has been involved with (either actively as owner/operator or as a key role for his father Frank’s business) include:
Ocean Plaza Resort at Coolangatta, Gemini Court at Burleigh Heads, Phoenician Health and Spa Resort at Broadbeach. Shortly afterwards, the following resorts were added to the portfolio Carmel By The Sea (Broadbeach), Rise Apartments (Noosa), The Coolum Beach Retreat (Coolum), Shearwater Resort (Caloundra), Swell Apartments (Burleigh Heads), Freshwater Point and The Wave (Broadbeach), and finally, The Beach (Cabarita NSW).

In 2009, Frank Picone purchased the letting and management rights to the Towers of Chevron Renaissance which was the Gold Coast’s largest strata titled resort. With Paul Picone engaged as General Manager, it clearly stood out as the front runner in its performance and was recognised as the largest and most successful management letting rights on the Gold Coast prior to its sale to the Mantra Group in September 2015.

Paul Picone’s secret to success is that his business maintains a very flat structure and Paul continues to involve himself at all levels with a very open and active involvement. He insists the approach of a “family” business is maintained to ensure guests constantly receive a friendly and personalised experience, yet done in a professional manner to guarantee the ongoing success of the business.

In late 90’s, Frank’s other two sons, Jason and Craig, became actively involved with the family business before managing numerous resorts for the group: Coolum Beach Retreat (Sunshine Coast) and Swell Resort (Burleigh Heads) before performing senior roles with Paul Picone at the Towers of Chevron Renaissance. The success of this resort is well documented and no doubt their role was critical to this resort’s success.

Following the sale of Towers of Chevron Renaissance to the Mantra Group in 2015, Frank, Jason, Craig and Paul Picone joined forces as equal partners in purchasing the management rights for the hugely popular Qube Broadbeach, Synergy Broadbeach and Boardwalk Burleigh Beach. Today, they are actively involved in applying their proven formulae to these recently completed resorts.
